One action in every action
description	Our gestures are precious and we should not waste them. They say a lot about us and the way we see the world. Gestures find in the Zen discipline the highest level of precision, grace and functionality. In the Zen discipline what matter is “now and here”, you must put the greatest concentration in your daily actions, because harmony and beauty arise also from everydays actions.. Traditional photography in the darkroom requires the same attentions of the Zen discipline: precision, constancy and aesthetic taste. The “click” is only a step between visualization in the photographer’s mind and the appearence of the image in a basin in the darkroom. Another important thing is that during the process of creation of photographs the photographer is alone. The photographer sees a situation, he decides what to include and what to exclude from the image, he decides how to use the light, how to develop the film and how to print the image. He does everything alone. For these reasons I chose a black and white film of medium and large format, a print with enlarger on fiber base paper and a dry mounting of the photographs. I took these pictures at the Soto Zen Monastry of Fudenji, Italy.
